SECL reports higher coal output and a wider mechanised-dispatch network
The company profile cites 176.28 million tonnes of output in FY2025-26, first-mile systems and two rail corridors under development.
A Coal Ministry profile says South Eastern Coalfields produced 176.28 million tonnes in FY2025-26, up from 124.26 million tonnes in FY2013-14, and supplied 178.63 million tonnes across 13 states.
It reports eleven first-mile-connectivity projects with 156 million tonnes of annual capacity built for about Rs 2,700 crore. Mechanised systems handled 41.3% of dispatch in FY2025-26, while two rail corridors under development total about 342.6 km and Rs 13,685 crore of investment.
Why it matters
SECL is a major supplier to India's power system, so production and evacuation performance affect energy security, logistics and coal-region economies.
