Nuh inspection drive finds 17 of 35 industrial premises non-compliant
Eight inspection teams checked air-pollution controls, fuel use, monitoring and operating-consent conditions across Nuh district.
A joint inspection drive in Nuh found 17 of 35 industrial units and premises non-compliant with environmental requirements, according to the Commission for Air Quality Management.
Eleven premises were assessed as compliant, including one with recommendations for improvement, while seven were closed or not operating during the inspection. The drive on 3 September involved eight CAQM squads with Haryana pollution-control and district officials.
Why it matters
Industrial air-pollution controls only reduce exposure when equipment, fuel, monitoring and consent conditions work together at operating sites. A high non-compliance rate in a targeted inspection can help regulators focus remediation and follow-up.

Limitations
The findings are a preliminary assessment from a one-day targeted drive and do not represent every industrial unit in Nuh. Seven premises were not operating, so their active compliance could not be observed during the visit.
