CAQM reports 121 NCR inspections and enforcement actions over 16 days
The review covered construction, industry and diesel generators, including proposed closures, sealed equipment and compliance directions.
The Commission for Air Quality Management reviewed 121 inspections carried out across the National Capital Region between 8 and 23 August 2026.
The official account includes 10 construction and demolition inspections, 56 industrial inspections and 20 diesel-generator inspections. It reports four proposed closures, 17 generator seals, seven compliance directions and environmental-compensation action in five cases.
Why it matters
Inspection and follow-through data indicate whether air-quality rules are being applied in operating sectors rather than remaining only on paper. They also show where regulators are directing enforcement capacity.

The counts establish regulatory activity, not environmental effectiveness. A stronger performance view would connect inspections with repeat compliance, verified emission reductions and changes in local air-quality indicators.
