India Valve Registry launches to track heart-valve procedures and outcomes

The India Valve Registry has been launched at the India Valves 2026 clinical meeting in Chennai.
The official release describes it as a collaborative system for recording patients undergoing heart-valve interventions, their treatment and outcomes over time to generate India-specific clinical evidence.
Why it matters
A well-governed national registry can reveal real-world safety, effectiveness, access gaps and differences between patient groups that clinical trials or individual hospitals may miss.

Limitations
