NLMC offers 459 RINL land parcels in Visakhapatnam for e-auction
The 93,572.21-square-yard portfolio is scheduled for competitive bidding in October through the RailTel e-procurement platform.
The National Land Monetization Corporation has announced an outright e-auction of 459 land parcels owned by Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited in Visakhapatnam.
The portfolio totals 93,572.21 square yards across HB Colony and Auto Nagar. Auctions are scheduled for 12 and 16 October 2026, with registration, know-your-customer checks and a ₹2 lakh earnest-money deposit required for each plot.
Why it matters
The sale is a material public-asset monetisation process linked to a major steel enterprise. Its structure can influence price discovery, bidder access and confidence in the treatment of non-core public assets.
SCULTRA point of view
A digital auction creates a visible process, but transparency also requires clear valuation assumptions, competitive participation and disclosure of final outcomes. The use of proceeds is a separate public-interest question.
Limitations
The announcement does not establish bidder interest, achieved prices or completed sales. Property descriptions and title claims are based on the official release and require bidder due diligence.
