Ranchi programme opens public-procurement channels to smaller suppliers
The two-day programme covered vendor registration, government purchasing, receivables finance and procurement requirements across major industrial buyers.
CMPDI and the MSME Development Office in Ranchi held a two-day vendor-development and product-exhibition programme on 9 and 10 September 2026.
Government and public-sector organisations explained vendor registration through the Government e-Marketplace, receivables financing through TReDS and their procurement requirements. Participants represented mining, steel, railways, gas, power, finance and engineering organisations.
Why it matters
Clear buyer requirements and accessible working-capital routes can help smaller suppliers enter public-sector value chains and compete for larger orders.

The programme will have proved useful if it produces vendor registrations, qualified bids, purchase orders and timely payment. Those conversion measures should be reported after the event.
Limitations
The release reports participation and topics, but no contracts, order value, supplier-conversion rate or payment outcome.
