CCI clears Kids Clinic's acquisition of Apollo fertility businesses
The approved combination covers Apollo Fertility Centre and Apollo Specialty Hospitals, plus related equity and convertible-instrument transactions.
The Competition Commission of India has approved Kids Clinic India Limited's acquisition of up to 100% of Apollo Fertility Centre and Apollo Specialty Hospitals.
The combination also includes equity and optionally convertible debentures representing 9.9% of Kids Clinic for Apollo Health and Lifestyle, together with a separate investment by Arvon Investments. Kids Clinic operates the Cloudnine mother-and-baby hospital network.
Why it matters
The transaction can alter ownership and operating scale across fertility, maternity, paediatric and related specialty healthcare services in multiple Indian cities.
