The Education and External Affairs ministries are holding the Bharat Innovates Exposition at Bharat Mandapam on 11 and 12 September alongside BRICS business events.

Thirty-seven Indian deep-tech startups and ventures were selected from an earlier cohort of 120. The programme includes meetings with investors, companies and institutions from BRICS countries, supported by structured matchmaking through FICCI, CII and ASSOCHAM.

Why it matters

International access can help research-linked ventures find capital, technology partners, customers and routes into overseas markets.

SCULTRA point of view

The useful measure comes after the exposition: pilots, investment, licensing, export contracts and research collaborations that can be traced to the programme.

Limitations

The official release describes access and expected meetings, not signed deals, committed capital or commercial results.
